With the help of first Ronny Siekly and Tim Hardaway ,Alonzo Mourning who now has a school named after him in Dade county the popularity of basketball grew in the late 80's in miami .Later with the dealings of Shaq and Mr, dade county himself Dwayne Wade we are amongst champions .....but it didnt stop there now we have the superpowers together on one stage and basketball should go through the roof and we will make sure on our level it begans and stays a sport in miami to be recogned with.Our Miami Wave boys and girls will compete on all levels to make sure dade county or fla for that matter stays a city and state to be respected in the game of basketball. Our mission is to teach the game of basketball ,assure our kids stay educationally as well as physacally fit . We wiil combat childhood obesity and the decrease in extra curricular activity.Our fees will pail in comparison as to what your child will aquire. The Miami Waves goal is to cultivate the minds of the youth involved with our program not only sports but in the growth and development of education as well.We will have tutoring for fcat testing as well as college preperation programs . This program will also be geared to help drop out students find and acquire ged and highschool equivalancy programs We will also be taking our kids on college tours to differant colleges all over to better help them make the right decision as far as a great college education... The Miami Wave Organization will teach kids from the age of six to sixteen fundamental basketball something not to many programs have in the state of fla thus leaving kids that like the sport unable to participate until highschool not giving them the sufficient experience enough to move on to the next level....we also plan on having educational and inspirational programs to better inspire our youths success ,hopefully this will inspire other people or institutions to come up with programs to better suite todays youth........not only in fla but all over the world........
