As a single father ive seen so many scenes play out where kids just dont have things to do or places to go ,so they turn to the streets or drugs or gangs.While in Atlanta i envolved my son and my daughter into one of the best basketball programs in atlanta parks and recs history,Adamsville neighborhood parks and recs ,While there i begancoaching and i met some pretty confused young men that could have turned to drugs and gangs etc.I found coach big brother etc, to lots of them who have intern become great atheletes in Atlanta sports,the kids you see on the page to my right are kids that ive coached since they were six ,a great group of kids who have given me great memories on the basketball court ,just as i taught them the game of basketball they taught me how to have patience and understanding as a father they along with my son,led me to three championships ,at six , eight and ten year old basketball players i still keep up with them and there progress via fcebook...... The Miami Wave Basketball organization was created to give the youth involved a better chance of survival in todays competitive society.We will teach fundamental basketball to the kids involved from the ages of six to sixteen,we will have programs culturely motivating and stimulating ,we will have programs that better assist kids with testing and educational interests,With this in play ,we hope that more of our kidz have more success educational and extra curricular as they go from elementary ,to jr high to sr high to college to life........
